Infants and Toddlers
When a parent is looking for a great daycare program for their infant or toddler, it’s likely the first time that they’re going to be away from their child all day long. We know how stressful it can be to part ways with your little one, and we strive to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible. Our Infants & Toddlers classroom serves children from 6 weeks of age through toddlers that are just under a year old until they are ready to join our Discoverers classroom.
About Our Infant & Toddler Programs
The classroom for our youngest students is a safe and nurturing environment that provides a secure base, as well as opportunities for exploration. Our teachers are positive care-givers that respond promptly and sensitively to each child’s individual needs. They implement our Infant & Toddlers curriculum that provides enriching activities which expose the children to new and exciting experiences such as story time, music, art, and sensory exploration. The flow of the day in this room is based around each individual child’s personal schedule.
Our Teachers and Caregivers
Our caring staff is required by the State of CT to pass a federal & state background check and receive their Mandated Reporter Certification. Professional development and continued trainings are offered throughout the year in order to keep our teachers up-to-date on best practices in child care and teaching. In all of our classrooms with children under 3 years of age, our student-to-teacher ratio follows all necessary State of CT requirements of 4 children to 1 teacher, with 8 children and 2 teachers per class.
