Our Curriculum
Our play-based curriculum meets all of the CT state educational guidelines by offering opportunities to enhance social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in each young child. Our program fosters curiosity, creativity, and self-esteem by taking into account children’s abilities and interests. Child-initiated and teacher supported play is an essential component of our daily program. Each classroom creates weekly lesson plans designed to foster each child’s development and the development of the group as a whole. Children will have the opportunity to express their own ideas and feelings through creative experiences in all parts of the program, including:
- Dramatic play
- Music
- Language learning experiences
- Motor activity
- Exploration and discovery
- Large and small group activities
- Art
- Health education practices
- Active and quiet play
